Dear ktb,

Excellent suggestions. I'll definitely provide a listing of free internet resources (especially "Elements of Style") to the class - especially since doing so won't make further demands on an already very crowded syllabus.

Thanks,
John

Dear NCTBA,

Thanks for your "silly bus." I can see its appeal:

"Youth is fleeting. Immaturity, however, can last forever!"

Regards,
John

A mature person is one who is does not think only in absolutes, who is able to be objective even when deeply stirred emotionally, who has learned that there is both good and bad in all people and all things, and who walks humbly and deals charitably."

Do what you feel in your heart to be right, for you'll be criticized anyway. You'll be damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Any educated guess as to who said these words? Cool

Dear cmp45,

Whoa - hold on. I never said only NCTBA is "immature." Hmmm, yet another example of how inference can sometimes mislead.

The correct inference would have been this: "We're ALL immature, and thank heavens for that."

"Humanity has advanced, when it has advanced, not because it has been sober, responsible, and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature."

Tom Robbins

Regards,
Immature John

John, you are so wise, that's why you're admired so much!

For the record, no am not drunk, but..I am also quite silly and an instigator at times in case any of you hadn't noticed... Cool If we were all at a party together, I'd probably have a black eye by now...

Now I will stop tee hee since the cows need to be fed and granny is shrieking at me to polish her army boots. At any rate, I will respond to NCTBA's post below.

Buck up NCTBA, some one else will be along soon to play with you Smile Am sure 007 is lurking in the shadows...some where. He may not be the sharpest knife in the box, but he does like to play and laugh.

It's MADTV...

Funny you should mention that. We were all cast in The Wizard of Oz a year or so ago, but the production fell apart due to squabbling on opening night.

We haven't fully functioned as a family ever since.

There...I said it!
