Thanks to the OP for these comments. Indeed, this school has been posting all over the Internet and it is from these postings that I draw my comments.
What was really strike was that the Korean Principal, ostensibly in the PRC, was standing in front of a desk with a CRUCIFIX very visible in the background, as well as a Bible, etc., and a Korean and Chinese flag. That was the first curious item. The second curious item was their very, very detailed request for paperwork, all of which are perfectly applicable to South Korea and nearly 2/3's of which are not perfectly applicable to the PRC. There were additionally several not-so-indirect racist comments regarding teachers from non-English speaking countries, which comments were set forth in extra-large bold typeface. It is no secret that numerous Korean schools in the PRC are in rather delicate financial straits. |
