Hi, all. Sorry, I know this forum is for English, but can anyone advise me what kind of salary to expect for a US PhD Physics guy at SQU? My friend from Texas really wants to come to Oman, but has no ideas what to expect!
Thanks a lot.

I would say it depends on his experience. There are something like three levels of professors, aren't there? If he has only taught 2 or 3 years, he will only get a bit more than an MA...

You don't go to Oman for the big bucks. Sorry... I have no numbers and suspect that no one here does.

Last year at the Colleges of Applied Sciences, the salaries for a PhD (including housing allowance) ranged from 1,565 OR for an Assistant Professor to 2,430 OR for a Full Professor.

Yea McCain...

I was right. The Asst Profs don't make much more than an MA with a few years of teaching.
