Such sexist drivel!
But totally true, that's where my best clothes have come from.
Right now, whatever fits, baby, whatever fits. Both pair of jeans have a terminal case of hole itis. Has any 6 ft man ever successfully bought a pair of jeans in China? The biggest pair of jeans I could fins...I couldn't stick one leg into them.
When shoe shopping at some nice stores. Don't want to boast, but my feet are a little too big here in China. Saw a store selling Hush Puppies. Now, I'm not a Hush Puppy kind of guy, but why do the cost $40 at the outlet in Lake George, New York (say 350 RMB), but they cost 1,000 RMB here in China?
Capergirl, how do we really know you are a girl???
Or Lady, woman Ms. Miss. WHat is the proper term these days? |

Every once in a while I like getting the nice clothes out of the closet and dressing up like a German Banker. Unfortunately all those clothes are thousands of miles away.
The problem with trying to look nicer on a regular basis is that everything is connected to everything else. Better pants, need a better belt, and a better shirt, and then a tie would help, then a sport jacket, Oh, now my shoes look scruffy. And everything has to be clean. Phew. Too much trouble over the long term. Better to sink back to ground level.
But lately I'm finding that collared shirts are actually more comfortable, breathable, versatile, and quick-drying than tee-shirts. Though if I had any that were actually the right size, maybe I wouldn't like them as much. |

company dress code is a white shirt , tie, and suit with black shoes. Visitors have been sent away fro wearing the wrong colour shoes.
On the other hand, I earn earn to make it worthwhile. And the dress code, while formal, is nothiong too punishing, and is something I can live with. It encourages a good habit after all. |
