All control was taken away from the teachers

This is a constant of the Sabis system in all of the Middle East. It is why I always recommend that any experienced credentialed teacher stay far far away from them. Westerners almost invariably have a very negative experience with their management.

I cant say anything for the other schools, and oh my have I heard stories for other SABIS schools in the neighbouring regions. But my expereince with ISC Erbil wasnt too bad at all. I never had any sewage problems or any other major issues in the accomodations. Your right, there's been times when our pay was a few days late, but we got paid, so didnt bother me too much at the time.
I believe the 'other Canadian' your refering to who was transfered to a PPP school due to her awful classroom managment skills - and even then at the PPP school - she would frequently call in sick after a night of partying, sometimes come to work with a hangover..lol.. yeah she was awesome. She had her own emotional problems once she broke up with her boyfriend and then called it quits even before the school ended. Apparently she accused her roommates of giving her 'medication' that affected her emotional stability. lol
WTF, gender segregation policy? Must have been after me... whats that?

Look it is quite simple: Any qualified teacher who works for SABIS is going to have a terrible experience, SABIS is bad news and a teacher who is positive about the system is a bad teacher, end of story.
