You have probably now informed them!

Have they asked? Are you being honest? Surely that is more to the point.

I might call them and ask them annon. if it is a normal thing.

Furthur comments from anyone, especially anyone in brunei or who has being there would be greatly appreciated !

Maybe you could assure them that while you will indeed be living together, there will be absolutely no hanky-panky between the sheets?

Perilla - Brunei is an Islamic country and as such, marriage is supposed to be the reason a male and female reside together.

In Cfbt's contract for example,(not that OP said he was applying for Cfbt) it is stated that .....teachers must adhere to the laws of Brunei....

AND dishonesty is the first item on the list of 'Gross Misconduct' ...for which the disciplinary warning procedure is considered inappropriate....

I am not stating my personal opinion here....just a couple of facts to help OP. To be honest I am not sure of how his/her situation would pan out.

Yes, I'm aware that Brunei is Islamic. However, in my experience local norms of behaviour are less than strictly applied to westerners.

But even assuming Brunei is very strict, is it actually an offence for a non-married western couple to cohabit?
