Reminds me of the time (way back) in Jakarta when , during the xmas break, instructors - including myself - were asked to dress up in a Santa Claus costme and stand around shopping centre entrances handing out brochures promoting the school and its future scheduled courses.

We all refused, of course but ...... you gotta have b@lls to expect your teaching staff to do that sort of nonsense.

and, no, the school was NOT named Santa Claus School of English but it should have been.

best

And you all refused! Why? Didn't any of you care about the school?

Groan. That's the sort of c#!p language schools demand of teachers - sort of ''jolly hockey sticks'' stuff. When I did some relieving work in a school way back when, the teachers were expected to dress up in santa-type stuff for a photo (it was Xmas time). I think I was asked to don reindeer antlers or something like that. Can't remember now what happened - i think I hid in the loos until the coast was clear or maybe I did do it and have blocked out the memories. There might now be a photo circulating somewhere... Or perhaps I'd already got into the Xmas wine & that's why I can't remember. I'd have needed it after that...
