I recently heard that LSD was about to apply for a tender to win the contract with BP again - they had applied for it in july (by now they should know whether they would be serving BP for the next 12 months or not), otherwise, LSD will be more or less bankrupt, downsize and would sack most of the teachers both expats and locals, though, most of the locals lost their jobs due to reduction of teaching hours caused by BP.
Any news if they won the tender? |

I'm still in occasional contact with some former colleagues from there and haven't heard anything about a tender either way.
I guess I'd have picked up on wailing and gnashing of teeth if it had crashed, so I'm guessing all is going ahead as before.
Saying that I know one long-serving expat teacher moved on fairly recently, but don't know whether that was his call or the schools. |
