Is it Normal to get a phone Interview and told you are def getting the job and then no call back?
It's normal in most countries, not just saudi arabia. The amount of times i've been halfway through applying for a job, arranging the contract, etc, and for no reason communication has ceased.

Actually I am not the English teacher my husband is I was just doing some research for him Thank you Very much.

The question is, does a person who writes with such scant disregard for punctuation, as above, get categorized as literate or illiterate?

I agree with Scot - except that literacy and education levels in Britain when he was young probably made the place look like a Utopia of highly educated, erudite and sophisticated Patricians, compared to the "Posh 'n Becks" idolization that characterizes UK society and culture today.

Anyway, hows' it that anyones able to say an English teacher ca'nt use apostrophes?

Actually, as a newbie you probably don't realize that with the gang here, it isn't about you... since you're not an English teacher, you get excused. (though some may have missed where you pointed that out) As usual the conversation has veered off into a general language skills discussion... What is Literacy? ...always a hazard if you let a group of TEFL teachers loose with a keyboard and an internet connection. Laughing

And we do have supposed TEFL teachers who come on here and write at a level that we would fail in our classrooms. Sad but true...

I hope that you, at least, got your question answered. Cool

The voices in my haid clearly are talking. I, on the other hand, am typing... Very Happy

NCTBA (My "typos/misspellings" are my talkin'/typin' style...)
