I just saw the post for University jobs, etc. on the International Jobs page and was puzzled by the Gmail address provided.
Okay, it was the "please contact me if your resume" that spurred this posting.
If anyone knows if this is the same bunch that spawned the outcry on the Middle Eastern and Chinese discussion forums here on eslcafe.com, it might help drive them away. I don't mind if Dave keeps the money for the advertisement, but if it is a scammer, should the ad stay up?
The advertisement in question is:

Could be legit, could be bad. Maybe try sending your CV? I'll send mine and let you know what happens.
What are the outcries on the China and Middle east forums? |

They were a bunch a Nigerians from Lagos using the applications to commit ID theft. They also got to a stage where they asked for money to be wired by western union to a personal account. This money was supposed to be for visa fees to the relevant Ministry of Interior etc.
A scam as old as time!
Don't know if these are the same guys but I've seen their ads. If you apply and they turn out either way let us know on here.
Obviously don't go sending them money |
