|

What would it take, as far as getting qualifications is concerned, to become a principal of an international school? Would it be advisable to do a business related course on top of what you may already have or are there academic-management related course available? Is it actually that hard a job to do in a less well known school? |

I imagine that good quals are important, but probably come second to hardcore toadying and brown-nosing. And contacts. |

I would assume having been a principal, or at least a VP (or DP), previous would be one crtieria. Also a degree in business, or better an MBA, as International schools are businesses at the end of the day.
And most important of all being related, or at least extremely good friends, with one or more of the board that administers the school. |

Bad spelling would be very 'unbecomming' in a principal. |
