I am very new to the ESL scene. I sent resume to AsiaESL.com through monster.com and they very quickly replied about oppurtunities in South Korea. I am wondering if this recruiter (AsiaESL) is reputable or should I just go directly to Korea Herald or the schools and apply directly?
Any input is appreciated! |

I dont know enough about it, Jeff, but everybody seems to say avoid recruiters. Have you tried the Korea forum, they might know..

My experience with ESLAsia has not been good. They want your original documents (I think they sell them on the black market - do I sound cynical!) and then all communications ends.
My advice, BEWARE! |

Hello. I am the President of AsiaEsl, and have been since 2007 when we formed the company. We are providing a unique way to acquire conversational English. Our program is not designed to compete with ESL schools, but merely compliment their activities. We only concentrate on the conversational part of learning ESL. When we launch, our program will be free and will provide language immersion 24/7.
We are not aware of any original documents or resumes being sent to us, nor are we looking for any at this time.
We appreciate Dave's ESL Cafe and the great work it does to help place people in legitimate teaching environments.
Thank you,
Bob Goodman |

Questions and discussions regarding living and teaching in Korea should take place on the Korean board. Separate registration is required. |
