Ive been offered a draft contract but Im not sure about the location. My other option is at Aston School who are taking a while to get back to me. With them I'd enter on a tourist visa.....If I sign said draft contract does that make it definite? Would it be deeply unethical to go back on it?

I have to do it by tommorow otherwise i have no chance of getting the z visa!!!

Ps. Its not the formal contract, that will be signed after I arrive, but a draft

Enter on a tourist visa? Be careful. In-province changes can still be done with limited success in a very, very few provinces. You need to which province and perhaps share that with us on the board here and then that might provide an indication of the possibility.

Who is giving you the pressure for a Z visa? It takes 3 weeks top-to-bottom at worst, 10 days at best if the school knows how to handle the paperwork.

Sign a "draft" contract and then sign another? And what if the "another" is not so commodious as the "draft" contract? That has been known to happen rather very frequently in China too.

Prudence in all things.

Oh and the job is with Aston, probably in Jinan, Shandong province. I think Aston have some experience doing things (illegally like this)
