Nice to meet you. There are many ads for colleges. Do public secondary schools hire foreign teachers with a degree and EFL certificate? I know someone who wants to teach at a secondary school during the 2011-2012 school year. She can start in the summer or in the fall. What time of year do schools usually begin to look for employers? Is it too early for her to email schools now? She is already in China. Do schools usually have interviews and want to see a teaching demonstration? Your help is welcome. |

You can find jobs at all times. If you want the best results, you can start searching during winter and late spring. It's common to have a demonstration and interview, but not all schools have them. My first two schools didn't, but my third school did. Seems weird that you're doing a lot of research about this when your friend is the one going. You'd think she'd be the one worrying about it. |

"She is already in China"
Why does she not know already, and why is she not doing her own research ? |
