Try phoning the Citizens Advice Bureau - 1081 for directory enquiries. |

It really depends how desperate you are for the money. If you can afford to write off $2200 and put it down to a learning experience, it might be better to do just that rather than waste a lot of time, effort and stress trying to get it back regardless of whether you are actually in the right or not.
It may be months before you get to court and even then there's no guarantee that you will win, or even if you do that they will pay. Is $2k worth all that hassle and stress just to prove a point? Might not peace of mind and closure be worth more?
If it's an employment-type matter you should be aware that HK employment laws are skewed very heavily in favour of the employer. What maybe straight forward case back in your own country may not be the same here. |

I think it is, if you go to the Labor department, you can easily file a claim, I was denied pay for 10 days - $5000 so after submitting details, it went to an intermediary where they attempt to settle differences before going to court, at this hearing the company offered me $4000 which I accepted - if it went to court I would have risked paying legal costs and it was my word against theirs. Their are lots of shonky employers in Hk I hope you get your money and protect yourself in the future - Daniel |

I decided to be a thorn to teach her a lesson. lol
Got lucky and she implicated herself in emails. She then caved when I mentioned the possibility of a collector coming when a rich parent was around. Cheers~ |
