Hello all,
I am new to this forum and I am doing some research on teaching in China. I met with two recruiter about teaching, one was Sino-American Culture Association (Based in Sacramento) and Franklin recruiting. Does anyone know if they are reputable recruiters? From what I understand the one recruits mainly in Shenzhen and the other in the Shandong province. So any information (good/bad experiences etc...) from either area would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to keep my questions too vague but, I can't help it. Finally are there any jobs teaching oral english to Chinese scientists? The reason I ask is because I am graduating with a degree in the sciences (Genetics and Bio-Anthropology) this June and many of my Chinese teaching assistants could have used help pronouncing English terms.
Thanks All
Sierranevada
PS: I know it's nerdy to ask but are there any Eagle Scouts out there who work with the Chinese Boy Scouts (Is there a Chinese Boy Scouts)? |

If you use a recruiter, you should never pay them any money (the school does) never sign a contract with them (sign with the school direct) Make sure you talk to some of the curent foreign teachers direct, and the FAO direct.
I would tend to be doubtful about your cahnces to teach english to the scientists. You might possibly teach grad students.
I would be strongly surprised to find boyscouts in China. They do have the young pioneers, or whatever, a communist young person organization. |

Shenzhen is near Hongkong.
Shandong Province is where Confuscius was born, raised and lived his hermit ( ) life.
Think it over. |
