Found an advertisement from these guys...web address is:
www.pronunciationlondon.co.uk
The ad mentioned wages of between 22-32 per hour according to experience - seems a bit too good to be true? (At least, it does to someone who was previously working for roughly 13 per hour).
I'm thinking of applying, but was wondering if anyone else here has had any experience of the school, or has heard anything about them? |

Hello Algo5,
They deal with English Speech and Accent classes, and usually expect the teachers to have the Certificate of Proficiency in the Phonetics of English from IPA. I have university colleagues who freelance there, and they are all experienced EFL English teachers or linguists who specialize in English phonetics.
These are not EFL classes - hence the somewhat higher rate of pay of about 30-40 per hour.
Are you an expert in phonetics? |
