[homeless vet]

I arrived in WNZ yesterday and was fortunate enough to be housed and teaching at the in-town campus of Wenzhou U instead of Chasan. The problem is that the "apartment" they give visiting faculty is absolutely filthy. It's basically a 1 star hotel room with a ghetto washer in the bathroom - and the washing machine literally drains its water onto the bathroom floor - and a nozzle sticking out of the wall that serves as a "shower" with no walls or rim, so the bathroom floor is always wet.

Any tips on finding an apartment to rent? I don't necessarily need a lot of space, but I do need something clean.

Have you talked to the school about this? I have accepted a position without seeing that Iapartment.. I know risky, but they seemed quite straight with everything so far and will put me in a hotel when I arrive. I guess that is a good way to gauge what the apartment will be like.

I wish you lukc and I am interested in seeing how it works out.
