I had a contract start day of Sept and my documents just arrived for a Uni job - very late - with Aug. dates on them - almost November now!

I have received a message that now they want me to teach kindy - I signed up for a Uni - not a recruiter - it was the contact person for a Uni who works at a Uni.

So I don't know if the documents are even valid with August dates.

Nor do I want to teach at Kindy for Uni wages when I signed on for a Uni.

I even communicated with teachers there before and those coming over in September - who gave the Uni a good report.

So I think if I was to go over I would need a whole new contract - stating I was teaching for the Uni and what ages the students are.

I could have accepted other much better kindy jobs - paying much more - if I wanted kindy

It really created a hardship for me to be all ready to go and no documents.

I know contracts for China are different than the USA - but I don't know how to react to this at all.

I would be willing to go over and teach Uni. - but not kindy for them.

I am seeking other jobs of course - but I went to the expense of the medical for them and I don't know if I will have to do that again for someone else or not.

I think what happened was this:

The university had a tentative plan to hire you
but ended up not really needing you very desperately, despite having prepared some of the necessary paperwork
then they saw that a kindergarten was hiring, and paying 10 000 per month for full time positions
so they did the dirty
and offered your services to the kindergarten, pocketing the difference between the kindy pay and your contracted pay.

'recruitment' - nice work if you can get it.

Would you trust these people to handle any problems at your new job, housing, dealing with the PSB? Sorry, I think you should start over. Soon it will be hiring time for Spring term. There will be fewer schools in need, but there should be some openings if you want to teach at a uni.

Give your next job two weeks to gel, then move on if nothing happens. This drama went on for much too long, and a lot of people's chains got yanked along the way.

You've asked every conceivable question about applying for- and being accepted for jobs in China. I imagine that not many more questions could arise for which you haven't already been provided an answer.

As them simply: Why should you work for a Kindy when you applies to a Uni? Tell them that if you wanted to work in a Kindy, you would have applied at a Kindy.

Primary is hard enough, but Kindergarten? Screw that!

So will it be difficult to get new documents since these were now sent to me in either any geographic part of China (city or province) or in this particular province?

Will it look like I didn't follow a contract? Or do they keep a database of some kind in China?

I have taught kindy in the USA - just not my favorite thing at all!

I am well aware that Kindy in China usually pays double what Uni pays - so if I were to accept a Kindy - it wouldn't be for uni pay!
