Be very careful how you word your next message to them. The office you contacted may not know what another office is doing. You certainly don't want to tick off anyone with the incorrect language.

Something like this would be sufficient.

"On Oct. 19 I was told there were no openings, but I saw an ad on Oct. 21 that advertised for several jobs with JES in XY and Z prefectures. If the situation that was explained to me has changed, I would just like to let you know that I am still interested in applying for the openings. Thank you for any information you can provide."

If they still don't respond, give it up with JES. Who can say why they did what they did recently?

Yeah, the one thing I'm not sure about is if the person I spoke with is the same one who is in control of the Gaijinpot listings. I was made to understand that she's generally in charge of all hiring/interviewing/etc. but there's always a chance that someone else is involved.

Just to be on the safe side, I think I might wait a week or so just to see if I'm contacted.
