A B.Ed in Ontario is only 1 year (8 months) assuming you already have a B.A./B.Sc or some other undergrad degree. Some schools offer a 4 year Concurrent Program where you would graduate with both degrees.
Ontario has way too many teachers for jobs available. It is nearly impossible to find a fulltime job, unless you know someone in the school board. Ontario, and Canada in general has a good reputation for teacher education though.

I've returned to Canada to do mine this year. I'll graduate in April--just 8 months and the tuition here at Queen's is $6,000 and my rent/living expenses come to $1,000/mo so in all it'll cost you about $14,000. Just to warn you, you've got to complete the B.Ed admission process BEFORE DECEMBER for Ontario universities. |
