Always a risk, at some point, of growing weary of what we're doing, but that there are opportunities to continue to contribute to society at ages when others have dropped out of the workforce is not a bad thing, it seems to me.

However, the SUNEO campus where I applied apparently thought I was too old - even after I have staunchly praised them in my previous comments. Among other differences, they don't appear to respond to kiss ups either.

I have since come back to the lovely desert of So. California where I ran for the school board in my old school district. I am anxiously awaiting a final tabulation of the votes here. The county registrar of voters was just fired for coming in late with the results. Several close races are still hanging in the balance here. Just to show that bureaucratic bumbling is hardly a Mexican exclusive.

We�ll keep our fingers crossed that you emerge the winner ! Then you can regale us with tales of school board shenanigans in Southern California. Any plans to come back to Mexico, even if it's just for a vacation?

Of course, but a little indefinite until the school board thing gets resolved.

I'm planning to keep up with with this forum more regularly, but may have to be content with semi-volunteer assignments in the future. That's the downside of waiting too long to actually pursue teaching in Mexico when I was younger.

To anyone thinking about it - do it while you can or some opportunities may pass you by.
