Is there a average pay for second tier cities?

Also I have trouble finding public school teacher positions in china. Most seem to be language mills... Why?

Well, if you seek employment in the middle of the year, it can't be expected to be easy to find something.

You have to use a bit of logic here. Teachers will not give 6 months' notice. Try applying for public school jobs in the late spring or mid-summer when schools start to get desperate.

Language mills will always be hiring year round though.

As above.

However, I would consider the training school positions as they might end up being a lot better than a public school position. Stating that it only seems to be language mills hiring makes it sound like a bad thing. I know some members may complain about them, but depending on your circumstance, they may be as good, or 100 times better than the public school system.
