Took 10 minutes this morning to drop the copies of copies off and I'm told the photo ID will be ready Monday morning. Amazing how fast things can be if migra wants them to be.
Something I find interesting...they lost my old FM3 booklet as it was in the file and because of that, they cannot retrieve the FM3 number. This seems to confirms a suspicion I've always had about migra...that they don't have a centralized computer system for tracking people by ID numbers. If they had such a system, my file should be easily found by the CURP or my name, but nope.
Someone know definitively if this is true or untrue? |

Finally got the new card today...it was supposed to be yesterday but they had lost the photos I gave them Friday. The photos I brought in to replace the photos they'd lost in August with the rest of the file.
What a flimsy little card this is. |

Congratulations, Guy! Maybe you had so many problems with INM because the people whom you dealt with were in training or doing their servicio social. |

Ask migra if you can see your "file". It's all the copies and bits of paper you've ever signed there bound together. I imagine it's the only record of our existence in this great country. |

But it is an existence that can't be electronically deleted! |

Well, they couldn't retrieve so much as the old FM3 number using the CURP or my name. I think the new card style has a different numbering system, so perhaps it's now electronic. |
