Hi guys.

While I don't have an MA TESOL yet, I'll be potentially doing one in 2011. Would love to come to South America to work at some point. Leaning towards Brazil, but would definitely consider other, potentially more lucrative countries as well.

How might I be regarding legal work status? Could I be eligible for some work a little higher up on the food chain?

I realize that people don't usually go to SA for the money, but I'd be interested in having enough to live a good lifestyle, and not necessarily save (perhaps enough to travel around a little bit).

I think it depends on the country. IN Peru, you aren't going to get a work visa at a language school. There's one place I knwo that offers visas, but most border hop. Mexico seems easier as does Ecuador with their new visa scheme.

Do you want to work legally or are you ok with border hopping?

Would MUCH rather work legally. Hadn't thought of Peru - though I'm sure it's great. I was leaning towards Brazil, but am quite open as I'd mentioned.
