I think it's a disgrace Qatar got the world cup. Stadiums in the sand post 2022, a climate that you can't air condition and a society that doesn't let too many women participate in the beautiful game. Oh, and Qatar will get drubbed in every match....I've seen them play live. Fair play....yep they've got a Bulgarian weight lifter! Racism....tell that to the tcn folk who live there. A disgrace...FIFA did it for the money. Then there's the minor question of security....

I think we should stick to the question of the pros and cons of living and teaching in Qatar and let the political discussion of the games be done on some other website.

There have already been two locked threads on this topic... so...

I attended this debate, my last Doha Debate. Freedom of speech is the right of everyone. It's how changes are made. Look at those Barwa tenants who protested their rent increase, never before has a group made such an impact on policy change. Freedom of speech is the only way forward.
