Room for rent in a house with three foreigners and one (really cool) Vietnamese student. One English guy (owns a bar), an Ozzie guy (teacher) and an American girl (teacher).
3.3million VND a month plus bills. Bills (internet, elec., water) will not be more than $35 a month. Only one tennant is on the 6-month lease agreement, and he is happy with the others paying rent month-by-month with no long-term contract; 3 weeks notice is all you would need to ever give. This is actually an enormous asset to the flat, as many, many teachers live on 3- or 6-month contract.
Furthermore, the rent is in DONG, not USD; at present many landlords are demanding USD (ever "strengthening" on the DONG).
345 Tran Hung Dao, District 1. ten minutes WALK from Pham Ngu Lao.
Air-conditoned room
Hot water bathroom (shared with one person; the Vietnamese girl, keeps it spotless)
Personal balcony
Good bed with great, very thick mattress
Desk, shelving, lockable drawers and wardrobe
Shared, well-equipped kitchen and living room area
Friendly and helpful landlord
Great neighborhood and location; network of alleyways then out onto the big bad Tran Hung Dao artery, which is actually pretty free-flowing in rush hour. Nice food stalls in the alleyways, a small supermarket/pharmacy across the main road.
I'm moving out on the 28th december officially BUT I would move out anytime before that if you need the room ASAP.
