Which has a better quality of life for a single female ?

Jeddah or Jubail ?

Can you walk around in your abya without covering your hair out in public or not ?

Better quality of life for a single female: Jeddah, without a doubt

Walk around with hair uncovered: Jeddah you definitely can, not sure about Jubail

Have you seen photos of Queen Elizabeth's recent sojourn through the Gulf? Complaint and dignified.

Uncovered hair as a measurement of quality of life? How preposterous!

Nevertheless, do so and welcome to Trepidation Mode, to be sure. Is it worth it?

If displaying your locks is a precondition to arrival, try Korea.

Wearing the abaya is pretty much obligatory in just about any public space in Saudi Arabia. Rules regarding covering the hair aren't quite as clear-cut. You more or less have to cover your hair in very conservative smaller cities, but in the larger urban centres of Riyadh, Dahran or Jeddah you can often get away without covering, though you may find you attract more attention than you would wish.

In more general terms, I know very little about Jubail, but I very much doubt it would be a more pleasant place for a single woman than Jeddah.

Jubail has a lower quality of life on every measurable scale, except isolation (if you prefer to be away from everything).
