Hi, not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but...

I'm looking for a school of Acupuncture/Oriental Medicine in Japan with a program offered in English. Does this exist? My Japanese will get better if I move to the country, but I'm not ready for an academic program in the language yet. Help with this would be greatly appreciated.

A friend of mine gave me this list of schools: http://www.yellowpage-jp.com/modules/mxdirectory/viewcat.php?cid=576 (link fixed)

Is that complete? I was looking at Kuretake here, http://www.kuretake.ac.jp/english/acupuncture/index.htm
They have an English section on their website, but I'm not sure if they actually have an English program, and they haven't answered my message on their contact form. It's hard for me to call them since I'm in the U.S., but Kuretake seems like the one I should check first sine they're the only one I found with an English section on their website. If you can help at all, thank you so much.

Justin

Your list of schools is a dead link. Can you check the address? I suspect that any list of schools here will be incomplete.

As for whether Kuretake offers courses/programs in English, have you looked at the English on their site? Not the best, so I would think that any courses that might be offered in such poor English would tend to be confusing to you.

Sorry about the link, it should work now. Thanks for the reply. If it were English of that level, I think I could deal with it, I just need to find out if they have the program.

This link says there are 54 such schools in Japan, but does not list them. You might want to contact them for a list.

The guy who wrote that article didn't have a list of schools, but he pointed me towards this one:

Meiji School of Oriental Medicine
Honoda, Hiyoshi-cho, Nantan-shi, Kyoto 629-0392
Phone: +81 (0)771-72-1231

http://www.meiji-u.ac.jp/shinkyu/
http://www.meiji-u.ac.jp/english/faculty/acupuncture.html

Does anyone in Japan feel like calling them and asking if they teach in English? They don't seem to have online contact info listed. I would be so grateful.

Justin
