Dear ESL Teachers,
Our company (www.globalcitizen.hk) is developing an online Virtual World for language teachers. www.globalcitizen.hk/gclife
We're looking for ideas to furher develop interactive games/activities that can be implemented in a Virtual World environment. The goal is to create an environment which is as close as possible to a real world communicative classroom, where students can interact, engage in activities and have maximum exposure to the language.
Whether you have experience teaching in a Virtual classrom or would simply like to try it in the future, we would love to hear your ideas or have you share your experience with us.
Looking forward to you comments.

Are you familiar with the AVALON project? They are a group of universities who have spent the last two years working with language learning in virtual worlds. The ning site would be a great place for you to find like-minded teachers/content developers to help you with your project. http://avalon-project.ning.com/ Good luck! |

I was--my former employer was the co-initiator of the project. I've done some teaching in Second Life, but prefer 2D virtual classroom teacher much better. |
