point taken, i'm quite mature in matters of sexuality (did studies in the subject at both graduate and undergrad levels), but i was actually shocked at the phenomenon of pedophilia and predator culture that not only exits, but is not a cause of shame. this is something that i think most westerns have a disdain for.

guess i should have been more clear

Dear elmoro,

I think some of us may have been misled (I know I was) by your euphemism:

"freelance boy pediatricians"

I assumed that it simply meant young males of about the same age engaging in sexual dalliance since little/no private contact with females is permitted.

Perhaps I and others are not as subtle as we should be.

I suspect elmoro is a non-native speaker who studied in the West. I said "suspect," as in speculate.

VS, a lot of young girls get lesbian tendencies in all-girl schools, n'est pas? It's not just a boys-will-be-boys phenomenon. A very lovely Filipina gf of mine from days past said she was a bit of a (nonpracticing) lesbian in school but she grew out of it. And she didn't even go to an all-girls' school.

When I taught Saudi air force recruits ("cadets") in Jeddah in the early '90s, they commonly told me wishful-thinking stories of chasing "young fat boy" down the corniche. I wrote that up and Cleo thought I had made it up. Nope.

At my current base, I am gratified to note that the Saudi officers I teach are mostly mad about WOMEN. Yup--me too.

I can confirm that the women's colleges do have lesbian activity (one director walked in on a couple "interfering" with each other as he put it). We were instructed to discourage such goings on. Like we were going to get involved in any way shape or form

i well aware of lesbian and gay culture. i repeat, i was referring to the pedophilia and predator culture that i have been investigating here (have a degree in sociology also). i was just trying to be subtle considering there are many thin skinned people on the internet, but like most americans, i really prefer to say it as it is. considering i have had my share of run-ins with the pc gestapo, i try to be as subtle as possible sometimes.
