Any good grammar books available anywhere in the DF? I went to The Anglo bookstore a couple of days ago but was looking at books for conversation.
I need some brushing up. |

New Options and Delti are usually good bets for that kind of thing.
A classic grammar tomb is Michael Swan's Practical English Usage.
The Raymond Murphy's Grammar in Use series has nice illustrated explaintions and exercises.
Other people swear by Penny Ur's series.
However, I suggest Michael Lewis's classic The English Verb. Rather than point by point explainations of grammar points or exercises, this book will change the way you think about the English language. |

Right next to New Option on Bolivar st is the American bookstore, another great spot with a wide selection. I find the Anglo bookstore has a limited selection.

Michael Swan's Practical English Usage. |
Probably one of the best out there... |

I don't know what's available in the DF, but these are some grammar books that have been invaluable for me:
Understanding and Using English Grammar, 4th ed. (Azar and Hagen)
The Advanced Grammar Book, 2nd ed. (Jocelyn M. Steer and Karen A. Carlisi) |
