i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for short term (full or part time) work opportunities in central or south america?
i've got a little over 2 months this april which i need to fill with something! i was thinking of renting a cheap place somewhere in central or south america and do some EFL teaching to pay my living costs and, hopefully, a portion of my flight expenses.
how realistic is this? what sort of short term work is available in any country in central or south america? |

For Central America, your chances are not very realistic at all. At best, a summer program over July and August is possible, but April isn't. What makes things worse for both Central and South America for April is Easter, which falls in late April. That's a two week break for a lot of students/people in general, which shortens your time and chances even further. |

I've heard of a couple places that do housing in exchange for English classes. See the PM I sent you. YOu won't make much in LA for two months. Asia is the place for short term camp like jobs. Taiwan, Japan, China, Korea. |

I think you might be best off trying to learn Spanish for 2 months at a super cheap school that include housing and homestay. Maybe you could teach some EFL conversation classes in exchange for some of your costs... |
