Hi all. I'm looking for a few Skype friends to talk shop/life about UAE.
I've taught in the States, Spain, and China. So, I can answer some questions you may have too.
It would be great to pick someone's brain that's in country.

This is rather beginning to look like a dating service. If you are looking to teach in the Gulf, I suggest that you ask some specific questions to see if you will even qualify to teach there.
This is a part of the world where you need to have good educational credentials and related experience to get jobs.

Why not just read around this website. You can learn what the situation is and then see where you fit into the system. With your credentials you would only be eligible for the K-12 system, not university.
As I said on your other thread, look at the job fairs in the US, look at Teachaway (they have a Facebook site where there are many teachers), though they are still mostly hiring at the K-2 level. They have been hiring some grade 12 too.
Also, like Qatar, there are many shady employers at the K-12 level, so be very careful accepting jobs. Check them out very carefully before accepting... and if you can't get any information, best to avoid them. Use the search here to see if the schools have been discussed before.

Thx VS. I'm not looking for a University job. You are misunderstanding my intent. I want to talk/skype with a few people who live in UAE, KSA, and Qatar to simply talk. I've been around dave's quite a while...the threads are nice when you're looking for specific information.
I'm more interested in having some conversation with expats in-country. |

Well, for starters, you should know that SKYPE is blocked in the UAE...unless one has the right kind of VPN. |
