Aloha- This doesn't necessarily pertain to school, although because of ex-president/dictator Ben Ali, our school is closed down, and the country is a mess. Saudi Arabia (Jeddah) is the only country where they would let his plane land last week when he fled the country. I'm just curious if there has been any news of him, as we aren't getting any here in Tunisia. please pm me if needed.

Dear trap,
There you go again - maligning the Kingdom of Humanity. Why, I'm surprised a statue, inscribed with these words, hasn't been placed offshore in the Red Sea:
"Give me your despots, your dictators/Your overthrown tyrants yearning to escape justice", . . ."
I can still recall seeing that great humanitarian, Idi Amin, at the Hajj terminal in Jeddah back in the early 80s.
Regards,
John |

Dear John,
Note that I didn't make any judgement... just pointed out some facts!
I had a surgery in a particular hospital in Jeddah in August 2003. A day after I was discharged, I came to learn from Arab News that he too, was hospitalized in the same hospital, and in fact, died (in the hospital) a few days after I was discharged.
'His' palace in Jeddah with 5+ meter high walls is well-known here... I guess his multiple wives and dozens of children still live there, supported by the oil money. |
