| Anyone have recommendations for decent/moderately priced hotels in Bangkok? I don't intend to stay very long in the town but a couple nights wouldn't be too bad, although I don't want to be in the ultra-touristy areas. |

| The Rex. 762/1 Sukhumvit 32/1 Bkk. Tel 02-259-0106. Not the cheapest at about 1,200 baht per night but good rooms with a bath/shower, air-con, TV and a big fridge. Hotel also has a swimming pool. It's about a 20 minute walk (or a short taxi ride) to the tourist areas of Sukhumvit. Staff are friendly and there is no need to book. Tell the taxi driver Sukhumvit 32/1. |
