Maybe I'm getting the wrong end of the stick here, but there seems to be a an illogical dichotomy, that either the Nazis invaded and did horrible things in Poland (and that was evil) or that the Soviet Union removed vast numbers of people from eastern Germany and deported them eastwards (and that was evil). In fact, both things occurred (both of them evil).

For the latter piece of history, read the final chapter of Antony Beevor's Berlin - the Downfall 1945. It describes the removal of a huge percentage of east German women and girls to the Soviet Union into slavery, including sexual slavery, with many of those returning suffering from STDs. Soviet revenge was understandable, the Nazis having both raped and murdered Russian women, but was still an evil.

On another note, perhaps people ought to return to talking about employment, more particularly employment in Poland..

No country has been shat on more than Poland. The Germans got what they deserved. People lose in war and shite happens...Poland lost its east too.

Don't bash Poland Scott you haven't been there since the 70's or something. It's fast becoming a quirky modern state at the heart of Europe. The Poles invented zapiekanka, being miserable, voddy and the good ole kielbasa....where would we be without that lot?
