Hi all
I'm a Brit living in Poland but about to leave, probably to India or Thailand.
I am looking to volunteer in Thailand and they have asked me to provide a CRB check. So I got one no problem for the five years here in Poland. However, looking at the UK Home Office website, it seems that prospective employers and not the individual may only request this info. Have I got that right? Have any of you successfully asked your prospective employer to get the check for you? How was it? Any pitfalls to avoid?
Thanks for any all all help. |

You can't get a CRB as a private individual, but you can get a police record check.
As far as I know Thailand don't accept the ACPO certificates, so you'd have to get a Subject Access disclosure instead. For that you'd need to write to the police force that covers the district you last district you lived in.
