I've been offered a position in Kurdistan, in northern Iraq. Does anyone know if insulin is widely available in pharmacies there? Thanks for any info you can share.

I assume that you have done a search here concerning some of the issues with the employers in Kurdistan.

Getting medications should not be a huge problem, but be careful with regards to the quality.

If you are working the SABIS schools I would be very careful. Some of them are far away from the city with a bus service. Not all bad until you factor in the fact the school will find multiple reasons to keep you from going in to town. Last term we had several people that needed groceries that were prevented from going to the store for school needs with no warning. Getting it in writing will not help at all, and it could lead to your termination.

NEVER buy any prescription medicines in Iraq. You could end up dead. Many have.
