I noticed an advertisement from World Staff a couple weeks ago and was going to ask the same thing just now. World Staff Recruitment doesn't indicate what one would be paid and which university they are hiring for in the advertisement, so I guess the only way to know is to apply. Unless someone else has info? |

Hi there,
I approached World Staff some time ago and spoke with them. They are based in London and are a genuine recruitment company.
MOD EDIT is the main contact there and deals with the Saudi contracts. Successful candidate are then passed onto AETG who offer the contract.
The main bulk of vacancies is with King Saud University. I noticed the teaching hours are longer with this outfit compared to my previous employer Bell/Obiekan.
Hope that helps you guys/ladies. |

Even if one is "recruited" by this legitimate company - who gets a hunk of what could have been your pay, one is still working for AETG... and under the situations described on this board.
Only for the desperate for a paycheck...

Are you, seriously, proposing that your eye can't look down 9 (nine) threads down on the same page?
That's what we in the "biz" call "scanning for information". |

I have dealt with the both of them and they were both great. Just to note that recruiters don't get any money from your salary at all!! They have an agreement with the company so it won't affect your salary - they are just there to help with the admin, offer advice and help with visas etc... so their pay cut shouldnt bother you guys.. |

Hi kh2,
Can you elaborate? Does your experience with them relate to employment within SA? If so, which SA company do they work with? Finally, which university/institute was you employed by?
Regards

You clearly don't quite understand Economics. The employer is using money that could have been part of your salary to pay someone to find you. Thus, your salary is lowered, as is everyone's salary when any system uses recruiters.

Are you currently working for this group in Saudi? If so, how are you managing to post since this area of Dave's is blocked in Saudi?

When is it that you worked for them? They just started last year... and it is now end of March... so you only worked for them for 2 or 3 or 4 months and you have already left?

Sorry... end of year break? at the end of February? Most of my friends in Gulf universities are already teaching second semester now.
Since they just appeared and first started hiring less than a year ago (advertising in June for first semester starts - after Ramadhan), how could you have worked for them for a year? If you were one of their first hires, it could only be about 5 months, couldn't it?
