This sort of flippant remark doesn't add to the thread at all. What do you propose, dynastar, that isn't illegal or potentially dangerous or inappropriate?
Remember that an ALT is usually not the employee of the school where they work. They are farmed out by someone else. This is a big key factor. |

Glenski is pretty well right on.
Monbusho has long stipulated that barbarian ALTs MUST be in class WITH a JTE. JETs are subject to this rule... and they are treated like royalty compared to the average dispatch co. gangster outfit ALT. Any incident in the classroom w/o a Japanese present? The barbarian will be hung out to dry. If you're an ALT, JET or not, DO NOT teach the class alone!
Bottom line. |

Ahhhh! Natsukashiiiiii!
This takes me bnack a bit because I had a fith grade class that was literally Hell!
There was a very troublesome girl called Momoka and she always seemed to rule the class. I had to teach with this silly old man who was suppoed to run the discipline in the class but couldn't teach for toffee.
One day I arrived in the class and on the blackborad it said "Sayonara JIJI! Let's have a funeral for the old man!"
For some reason they used to like me but they were horrible to the Japanese teachers.
What really surprised me was that when I wrote things on the board they suddenly started sitting down and writing it and bahaving.
Very strange. |
