Has anyone done a summer contract with LinkESL in Shanghai? I am considering working in Shanghai for two months before I return to the US. I plan to go to Russia and back to Beijing. I have already lined up a camp in Siberia from June 15-30.

What summer camp is that, as I'd love to go to Russia for something very short-term?

WestGate is supposedly really good, but I don't have the required one year's teaching experience (have Master's degree in linguistics, though, and TESOL certificate, but...)

The country of Georgia, I believe, does 4-5 month contracts, return flight included. You go through Footprints Recruiting.

Just to clarify on this point.

The program in Georgia doesn't have set contract lengths. What they have is specific end dates. The program is still relatively new, in the scheme of things, so don't take this as written in stone.

At the moment, the end dates are June 15th, and December 22nd (or thereabouts).

They have departure dates on the 15th and the 30th of each month, but the length of the contract depends upon when you go.

If you had left in February, you would have been able to sign a contract that ends in June, and thus your contract would be approximately 4 months in length.

However, if you were not able to leave in February, but left in March, the contract would run until December, and the length of the contract is now 9-10 months in length. They will continue hiring throughout the year, so if you leave in June, for example, the contract would only be 6 months.

Like I said, this program is still relatively new, so I would not be shocked if things were to change in the future, but I just wanted to make sure you guys are all aware. You are not able, for example, to teach from May until September.

http://www.yingwenteach.com/

Yingwenteach has short-term contracts in China. Might be worth a look.
