the rates i see online are amazing...ChinaTown Inn in KLChina Town area for 80 ringgit per night??? This is less than $30 US. That's maybe $750 US per month. I'd stay at a backpacker thing but , uh, mmmm, don't think my wife would appreciate that. Smile

anyway this is amazing if true and its not a roach motel. meals in Chinatown should be cheap and fresh produce everywhere i imagine.

KL China Town Inn is a really good hotel for the money. You can pay RM10 to RM20 a night less elsewhere, but the quality plummets. One downside is no windows in the room, but you'll sleep well. They offer air-conditioned or cheaper fan-only rooms.

They might offer a discount for a longer-term rent, although for a month maybe a serviced apartment would be the same price and more comfortable.
