I'm about to embark on an MA in Applied Linguistics, but can anyone tell me if they are really necessary to get good university teaching jobs in Turkey?
I do already have a BA in English Lit, an MA in Drama, and CELTA.
Any help much appreciated. |

Hi Lulu,
If you've already got an M.A., you'd arguably be much better served by getting the DELTA. Would also be cheaper and possibly quicker (although my DELTA took longer than my M.A.!) |

yeah...I hear that DELTA has the practical component that the MA's don't. Over here in the Middle East (Oman, UAE) it's all about having the MA in Applied Linguistics, but as I would really like to live in Turkey after here, I don't that they value the MA Linguistics quite as much.

| I have heard that DELTA is credited as part of some modular MAs. You seem to have a lot of qualifications already. Why don't you go for a PhD? |
