Hi
Don't you just love it when you see Tunisian and Egyptian 'refugees' (what a choice of word) clambering ashore onto the tiny italian island.

"We are not asking for anything" one guy claimed; "we are only asking for the opportunity to work in Italy/Europe."

Laughable.

How long will it be until these same 'refugees' are demonstrating in the capitals of Europe in support of an Islamic Europe and the like. Perhaps one or two may even become future suicide bombers in Europe.

Honestly, European politics is just a shambles.

Maybe I'll get on a boat, sail to Tunisia, clamber ashore and ask if I can "have the opportunity to work in Tunisia". I know what kind of reception I'd get. It involves handcuffs.

Well, I just gotta get this off my chest. Here endeth my rant.

Basil

Well, at least they aren't quite sailing in on gunboats like the Europeans did when they were colonizing the world. But I agree that immigration policy in most European countries (the UK for one) has been a bit too lax in the past decade or two.

OK, then. Let's all us Europeans spend a further couple of centuries in self flaggulation as penance for our past actions and ignore, for example, the conquest of an innocent population of the Maghreb (and into Spain) conquered by the Umayyads. On top of that, they still claim Spain belongs to them (muslims) and would do just about anything to get it back .... which they eventually will if this self-flaggulation carries on.

Try reading some history of Malta to get some perspective.

It works both ways. The only difference is that we in Europe just haven't got over our past and by the looks of it ...... never will.

Dear scot47,

In chains? Do you have any idea just how much all those chains would cost?

Liberals! Shocked

Dear John,

I couldn't help but overread your letter to scot47.

It would depend. Are we talking about gold chains?

Regards,
KK

Dear Korman DeKobb.

Heck no - just plain old steel is dear:

"Total cost for 4 five foot lengths of 3/8 chain approx $65."

Multiply that be the literally tens of thousands of "refugees."

Regards,
John

So if a war or ''revolution'' broke out in your country and everyday life started crumbling, you'd just stay put? Noble. Smile

Now, just before I'm thrown up against a wall and given a thrashing, it did not sit well with me to see marches in London calling for sharia law!

Bit late with my two bob's worth but if you was Tunisian you would be on that boat! I would be on that boat and I think most of us would be on that boat! Especially ESL teachers - most of us who have worked for buttons thousands of miles away from home in places like China!

I have to say, I have never read such a bigoted, pile of crap and on an ESL teachers forum of all places! Rolling Eyes That little rant would have been right at home on the online edition of the Daily Mail.
