Dear scot47,
Rejoice - I have great news. Whilst you have been confined in that time warp known as the Kingdom, some amazing inventions have come to light in the outside world. One of these is a contraption called "glasses," which miraculously improve one's vision.
I would suggest that, as soon as you leave the Kingdom and arrive in civilization, you inquire about them and purchase some.
Regards,
John |

I dunno, John, I had no trouble finding glasses in KSA.
Finding something to out in them, now that was another matter. |

"Put," I think. The "O" and the "P" are right next to each other. Hmm, maybe
Bebsi needs glasses, too.

Yes, indeed, John & VS, I meant 'put'.
I have glasses.
Maybe the problem is that I've been putting a bit too much in them!

How about one of those voice activated systems? Then you would merely have to proofread.

I am thinking of getting one of those clever machines marketed by Mr Marconi. I hear good things about a wireless radio station called 2LO broadcasting from the Crystal Palace in London

In a few years we'll probably have implants in our brains, to eliminate the need for eyeglasses, contact lens, even eyes.
It's feasible: have a tiny camera placed on the front of the head, maybe in the eye socket, or in the centre like a cyclops, and it will transmit to the receiver in our brains.
Which receiver, I'm certain, will also be able to pick up internet, Kindle, and other information. We can just think about a website, and it will be there in 'virtual front' of us. We can then think about our posting, and what we want to say, and that will be done for us.
OK, sounds far-fetched, but then, a century and a half ago, so did the idea of a load of people sitting in a metal tube and gliding through the sky at close to the speed of sound. Going to the moon? LOL Now, c'mon, get real. I suppose next, you'll all be talking about people thousands of miles apart having chats with each other with little plastic (what??) gadgets in their hands, and seeing each other on bits of glass on the same gadget.
Now, I'm off to look for some flint to light my bits of Kindle, to boil something. Maybe some fruit? I'm told there are Apples and Blackberrys at the Orange stall nearby. |

I'm in the magic kingdom (otherwise known to me as La La land) and use a VPN connection. It costs 55 US$/year which is small fry and you can access more or less what you want including Daves.

1. Holidays are always a busy time to travel, especially here in KSA.
2. Travel depends on your type of visa (business or work) and who holds your passport.
3. Yes, you will need an exit/re-entry permit (200 SAR ) and permission to leave from your sponsor. |

In response to the OP's question, which is also the title of this thread.
Yes.
Still going strong.
Need a vpn or proxy to get on it.
Regards.
