Thinking of a weekend out of the boondocks and in civilization, 1 and half hours away from Seeb give or take the odd camel bottleneck on the road, how much would I be looking at from my hard earned rials for round trip flight?? |

Depending on the airline and the flight times, a round trip to Dubai will cost you about 50-80 OMR. I think the cheapest is on Swiss Air, but the flight times aren't the best. Try Fly Dubai also. They're quite cheap and have more options. |

I looked at emirates and they seem a tad steep, I'll check out those other options you mentioned.

Emirates is usually the most expensive option in the region. FlyDubai is their budget airline.
BTW: I hope you're not Canadian as there is no longer the easy access for Canadian passport holders into the UAE. They all need to apply for visas before traveling. Even simple transit visas are a problem now. |

Both Oman Air and Fly Dubai will get you there and back for 50 OR. My wife just did it last month and it was 49 all in. Usually 3-4 flight times per day. Just go to the website, pay with a credit card, check in at least 1 hour before the flight - or you won't get on.
And then spend spend spend! Dubai has a way of vacuuming money out of your wallet.....
