Anything over $10,000 is a lot of money.

It could get lost or stolen. Too risky. Shocked

I would just keep it in my bank account and withdraw small amounts of it as needed. Of course, avoid bank ATMs at night or in high-crime areas.

When I traveled through Asia, I just used my debit card. There was no problem. Just a small transaction fee. And some peace of mind. Cool

I don't trust the banks. I don't trust the banksters playing currency games. I'd rather hold it myself.

US$35k is nothing to the banks. The previous advice was sensible, keep it in an account and withdraw when needed. Carrying such a stack of notes anywhere in the world strikes me as halfwitted. You can get the bank in whatever country you are in to write a cheque, or convert into trav cheques.

I think travelers cheques are a hassle. Not all merchants accept them.

I would just carry a debit card and some cash. Use a credit card as a last resort.
