I contacted ELS, and they offered me around 2000 Ringit a month (part time). There wouldn't be many hours involved, but it would still be a M-F gig.

That pay is....unremarkable to say the least. Any other suggestions? I lack a BA, which might be a problem. I will be getting a student visa which allows part-time work - should be of some help.

I don't think the British Council is within my reach (might getting a CELTA help?)

Hi your pay is online with full time positions that pay 4k in language schools and that is with a BA. Surely you are only after pocket money? You won't earn more. You could do tuition cash in hand. No idea if ther is much work doing that without being qualified. Thailand would be better for you if your MA is online say

Nemodot - you're right I'm not expecting much, but thought I'd might as well ask around if there was something more lucrative.

Finacially, I'd be MUCH better off staying in Vietnam, but I'm looking for a change in the next year. Actually, I wouldn't be able to work in Thailand (legally) as I lack a BA. In Malaysia they at least give a student visa which allows part-time work.
