Having a child overseas is what made me decide to go home and do my B.Ed. I started to worry about where my child would be educated. I did my research and found that becoming a certified teacher was the way to go if one wants to live overseas with children. Good international schools offer free tuition to children of teachers.
Bouncing around with no children is one thing, but with a child, it is much harder to do. I used to be able to travel light but now I don't think I could do that. Also, as others have stated, it costs a lot to start up in a new country. Plus, most EFL jobs will only pay airfare for the teacher and not for the family. |
